Welcome To Zac’s Journey To A 1,000
My name is Zac and I love to read. I want to read more but I get distracted rather easily. So I gave myself a goal to read a thousand books. A pretty hefty goal but I have a life time to complete it. Since I plan on reading an obscene amount of books I thought hey why not recommend some. So that’s why I created ZReadsAndRecommends which is my newsletter and website. I plan on tracking my progress on my journey and share the amazing books I read along the way. Below this should be the book of the month enjoy.

Mastery by Robert Greene
Mastery is about helping you find your life’s task. Mastery is not easy it requires great sacrifice but anyone can become a master. The question then is master of what? That’s what the book will assist you with by showing you some of the greatest masters in history and their paths towards mastery.
Why I Love It
I have for the longest time wondered what my purpose in this world is. I do mean longest probably from about 5 or 6 years old. I never found my answer despite looking for years and years failure after failure. I have felt lost for a long time with seemingly no hope of being found or rather finding myself. I read this book and it gave me hope again, hope that I will find my purpose. This book helped me narrow down my search and instead of dreading even looking I got excited about it. This book also let me know that its up to me its all on me nobody is going to out of nowhere tell me what my purpose is. My purpose is my journey with no short cuts only hard work the choice of mastery is mine alone.

Quote From The Book
“You are born with a particular makeup and tendencies that mark you as a piece of fate. It is who you are to the core. Some people never become who they are; they stop trusting themselves; they conform to the tastes of others, and they end up wearing a mask that hides their true nature. If you allow yourself to learn who you really are by paying attention to that voice and force within you, then you can become what you were fated to become an individual, a master.”
